Liberty County LTRC Receives $110,000 American Red Cross Grant

Grant will fund critical home repairs for Liberty County families recovering from disaster

Liberty County, TX March 13, 2026 – The Liberty County Long Term Recovery Committee (LCLTRC) announced today that it has received a $110,000 Long-Term Recovery grant from the American Red Cross to support critical home repairs for residents in Liberty County.

The funding will allow the committee to repair 10 homes for residents who otherwise would not have the resources to complete necessary repairs, helping families restore safe and stable living conditions as they continue recovering from disaster impacts.

โ€œThis grant will make a meaningful difference for families in Liberty County who are still working to rebuild,โ€ said Barbara McIntyre, Executive Director of the Liberty County Long Term Recovery Committee. โ€œWe are deeply grateful to the American Red Cross for their partnership and commitment to helping our community recover.โ€

โ€œWe are proud to partner with Liberty County LTRC in helping 10 families return to safe, secure homes,โ€ said Kimberly Cline, Executive Director of the American Red Cross. โ€œWhile recovery takes time, collaboration like this ensures we can deliver meaningful, lasting support to families affected by disaster.โ€

Through this funding, LCLTRC will coordinate repair efforts with volunteers, community partners, and local organizations to address critical housing needs and support

long-term disaster recovery in Liberty County.

The Liberty County Long Term Recovery Committee works with community partners, volunteers, and nonprofit organizations to assist residents with long-term recovery needs following disasters. Through collaborations like this one with the Red Cross, the committee continues to help families rebuild safe homes and strengthen community resilience.
